Industry Leading Education
In 1989, Helen Hooper founded Professional Beauty Supplies with the goal providing fellow Beauty Professionals with the education and advanced skills to expand their knowledge and enhance their careers. PBS continues to offer industry leading education across Newfoundland that is designed to keep Beauty Professionals on the forefront of industry trends, seasonal techniques and newest technologies. We conduct wide-ranging education events for up to 100 through our fully equipped, in-house “Learning Lounge” (St. John’s) as well as in locations all over the province.
The PBS Creative Team
The PBS Creative Team is a specialized group of Educators and brand Ambassadors that undergo advanced training with our various brands’ Technical and Artistic directors, enabling us to provide custom education solutions that address specific needs within individual salons. Our dedicated Education Manager can respond to varied education and training requests within all aspects of hair and esthetics. Lifelong learning and education are the foundation upon which PBS is built.

Students
As an education-driven company, PBS recognizes that students are the future of our industry. PBS is proud to provide solutions “just for students” including Student Kits for hair, esthetics and nail training programs. We work with all post-secondary schools that offer courses pertaining to the beauty industry. By working with individual school instructors and classes, we aim to provide students with education and training that enhances and enriches their school or college curriculum and helps new graduates be prepared to succeed in the beauty industry. We offer special student-only sale days and work hard to build strong relationships with all beauty industry students as they embark on their beauty industry careers.
